Purpose

Money has always been a difficult conversation for people to have. We are taught from a very young age that it is impolite to ask about how much people make and how much something costs. We have been told time and time again that we should not ask people these questions and therefore those same ideas have entered our home. 

Fewer parents are having conversations with their kids about money and they are left to fend for themselves. We go to school to be able to learn and earn money yet we have no idea what to do with it. It’s like teaching a kid to ride a bike without giving them the training wheels first. An alarming number of students have no idea how to budget, save or invest for their future and make rash decisions regarding their money. 

This is partially the reason why I have decided to start writing a blog. Once a week I will be posting information as well as opinionated pieces regarding finance. My articles will not be a tell all about what you should do with your money but the hope is to be able to start a conversation surrounding finance and encourage more people to start these conversations within their own homes. I am not selling a product and frankly, the information in my blog is all information that can be found online with a quick google search. 

I am merely a student in Finance at Western University that has fallen in love with the idea of manipulating money in order to create a better future for myself as well as anyone willing to listen.
